• Our designated dock is located on the southeast end of Yonge St. Quay (Yonge St. & Queens Quay), south of the Kiss ‘n’ Sail. Signage will be along the walkway, as well as on the dock.
• Please follow all directions provided by the Operator.
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• The maximum capacity of the vessel is 12 passengers.
• In compliance with Transport Canada regulations, e-scooters & e-bikes are not permitted aboard the vessel.

Pontoon Guidelines & Policy

• Members must bring their Membership card and tap when boarding in both directions.
• A $15.00 launch fee applies to guests and is payable by credit card at boarding.

Passenger Capacity & Safety

• The Pontoon Optimist is limited to a maximum of 12 passengers per trip, in accordance with safety regulations.
• Larger groups may need to travel over multiple crossings, subject to demand RCYC Pontoon Service Guidelines.

Priority of Service

• The shuttle serves the collective transportation needs of the Membership.
• No single Member or guest group may take priority over others.
• During busy periods, dock staff and the Operator may manage boarding to ensure safe, fair, and orderly access for all.

Group Size Guidelines

• The Pontoon Optimist cannot be reserved, held, or dedicated for individual Member use.
• The maximum party size accommodated per crossing is six (6) persons, subject to lineup, demand, and operating conditions.
• Members planning to travel with larger groups should:
  • Allow additional transfer time,
  • Use the Club’s Launch service from City Station, or
  • Arrange alternative transportation as appropriate.

Private & Corporate Events

• The shuttle is not available for transportation related to private events, corporate functions, or organized group activities.
• Private event transportation must be arranged separately in advance with the Events Team through City Station, 150 Cherry Street.

Operational Authority

For safety and service management, the Operator and dock staff have final authority over passenger numbers, boarding order, and trip scheduling at all times, and Members are expected to comply in line with the Club’s Code of Conduct.
 

CITY STATION (RCYC LAUNCH)

City Station is located just south of the ship canal on Cherry Street. Our Club's launches, Hiawatha and Kwasind, transport Members and their guests to our historic Island Clubhouse. Our facility includes private parking for Members.
